About Water Tactics
Water Tactics was established in 2005, initially providing supply and installation of domestic irrigation systems and specialising in drip irrigation. Soon after, we diversified into rainwater tank installation. Building on this experience, we now specialise in rainwater tank systems maintenance, water tank cleaning, water treatment and filtration as well as continuing to provide domestic and commercial irrigation services.
Our company philosophy encompasses water conservation and the efficient use of water in the urban environment. We believe the community and environment benefits more from responsible, efficient and effective water use than from outright bans and penalties.
We believe rainwater harvesting is an important aspect of environmental sustainability achievable by most urban residents. We promote water conservation via rainwater storage and use, providing a sustainable alternative water supply.
We endorse water efficient irrigation systems regardless of water source.

Jim studied horticulture at Burnley Horticultural College in Victoria and worked in the horticulture industry for 12 years in both hands-on and management roles. In 2005 Jim started Water Tactics, realising his ambition to operate his own company dedicated to urban water conservation. Jim is a Certified Irrigation Operator acredited by Irrigation Australia and a member of Master Plumbers Association Queensland. |
Luke Kiernan - Irrigation Manager

Luke obtained a degree in Business/Marketing at USQ then worked as a landscape gardener in England before returning home to Brisbane. He started his own irrigation and rainwater tank business in 2004 and has extensive experience in both domestic and commercial installations. Luke is a Certified Irrigation Operator (pending) acredited by Irrigation Australia. Luke joined Water Tactics in 2009. |
